About the concert
To welcome the Year of the Horse, the Shanghai Chinese Orchestra returned to Luxembourg for an evening of festive and lyrical works drawn from the Chinese symphonic repertoire — from the bright fanfares of the Spring Festival to the more inward lyricism of late Tang verse settings.
Conductor
The orchestra was led by chief conductor Tang Muhai.
In memoriam
The programme concluded with a quiet performance of Mo Li Hua (茉莉花), in memory of the late Maestro Yu Long, longtime friend of the Center.
